Genre: drama, romance, comedy

Drama: well, he dies after the first five minutes… and haunting her for the next whole year wasn’t the best of the ideas

Action: fishing apparently is a dangerous sport

Funny: the dialog is though compared to… let’s say Music & Lyrics… it’s rather weak

Visuals: nice Irish landscape, awful clothes on Hillary Swank, Gerald Butler too bulked up

Comments: Not to be watched when sick. Can make people mellow. This should come first as a warning. Other than that it’s funny enough to compensate for the dramatic parts, that if you’re willing to ignore Hillary Swank’s bad fashion taste in clothes and earrings, but of course she’s an artistic person, and Gerald Butler’s too many accessories. The real stretch comes when she switches from real estate to designing shoes. I wouldn’t have children in that apartment either. For a while I thought Harry Connick Jr. should have acted for free since he played the same part in Hope Floats and already married Sandra Bullock, but a stadium is not the best place for a date and she had to remain with the macho guy. Also James Marsters was in the credits but for the life of me I can’t tell where he was.

Rating: 6/10
