2015 August Reading List

The Fold by Peter Clines – Typical cold and distant sci fi writing, but I enjoyed the plot and the action. 4/5 stars

The Glass Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg – Unfortunately, it doesn’t get better than the first book in the series, and the action scenes rather bored me. 3/5 stars

The Killing Moon by N. K. Jemisin – It took me a long time to get into the story and get used to the unfamiliar names and terms, plus the Romanian translation isn’t flowing as smoothly as the original, but once I did, it was good. 4/5 stars

Ethan of Athos by Lois McMaster Bujold – Possibly thought provoking at the time of publication, it didn’t survive the passing of time so well. Plus, it’s short. 3/5 stars

Brothers in Arms by Lois McMaster Bujold – Miles gets some love, so what’s not to like? :) The clone was interesting as well, though we didn’t see enough of him. 4/5 stars

Borders of Infinity by Lois McMaster Bujold – Miles is getting a little too smart for his own good. I predict things ending badly for him in the near future. 4/5 stars
